The chalet, actually a country house. The original Swedish chalet disappeared with World War I. A new country house was build after the war. Notice the Swedish colors blue and yellow instantly remind you of the Swedish multinational IKEA.

It is a park with mansion located in the center of the municipality of Kemmel. It was bought by the Province of West Flanders from the noble family Geelhand de Merxem at the end of 2022.
